Basic operation instructions:
Scan port scan, scan out the communication port that allows Trex software to control the hard disk. Sometimes it needs to be repeated twice or more to scan out the port. But after selecting the port, there is no need to execute this command again until the T software is reopened.
Dut X Select the port number of the controlled end, usually 0 or 1, depending on the current motherboard port value.
Did Display hard disk basic information (usually used to check hard disk status and firmware version)
Idp Display hard disk advanced information (usually used to view hard disk motor speed and firmware version date)
Reset Hard disk soft reset, without power off function, just reset the reading of the firmware area.
Ireset Hard disk hard reset (reset command with power off and restart function).
Ipath "X" specifies the firmware input path, X parameter is the detailed address of the path, such as: "E:\royl\11"
Log x.txt Generate a text file named with the X parameter to record the operation details.
Showpaths View the current input and output path address information.
Fmtunit Format the hard disk, options appear after pressing Enter. 0 is internal formatting with P table; 3 is internal formatting without GP table.
Fmt is a shorthand command for formatting a hard disk without a GP table. It is generally used to format a small section for testing the effect. For example, if the disk has been adjusted for adaptation and TPI level, etc., the performance status of the head can be evaluated before starting the self-calibration.
Clrlog resets the smart table, clears the G table, and self-test process.
Edit edits the hard disk model and capacity. After execution, the model edit appears first, and then the capacity edit appears after the Enter key, such as 500G 1T 1.5T
Edsn edits the hard disk SN code
Vscon is a necessary auxiliary command before executing certain commands. For example, select TPI or level.
Recal is used to knock the hard disk that has stopped spinning to restart the test head. If the circuit board of this disk is paired and the ROM is written with the same family number and other compatible ones, the hard disk will not knock after executing this command, and there will be a seek sound when it starts spinning, which proves that the knocking is caused by the firmware. If it is knocked, it proves that the head is damaged.
Hdtest X Use the head specified by the X parameter to perform SA area read and write tests to determine whether the head is good or bad.
Ldata loads ATA module (1640 board or above must load AtA module to recognize the disk before writing module)
Pickall extracts module from track, generally used for 1640 board and below that do not recognize the disk, write external compatible ROM and then load ATA module, then use this command to extract, use winhex software to open C9 module and copy the original disk TPI and segment.
Clrpwd clear password.
